The 2011-2012 Penn State basketball schedule features a great mix of out-of-conference games and the grueling Big Ten conference slate. Featured out of conference games against Kentucky (as part of the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament) and Ole Miss from the SEC are big, along with a tough game against Boston College on the road.
The Big Ten will be a top conference again this year, with Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Michigan all getting pre-season top 25 hype. Ohio State will likely be a top 5 team, and games at Purdue, Northwestern, Iowa, and Illinois will be very tough for Penn State as well. In fact Penn State likely won't be favored in many Big Ten games this year.
