How in the heck did Penn State, the land where quarterbacks come to play their last significant games, land two quarterbacks in the 2010 recruiting class who are both ranked in the top 10?  Penn State has not had a QB drafted in the NFL, of any significance, since Kerry Collins in 1995.  Since then we have seen the likes of Wally Richardson, Kevin Thompson, Rashard Casey, Mike McQuery, Zach Mills, Darryl Clark (not likely to be drafted until day two) and Michael Robinson (drafted as a RB & Special Teams Player).

But somehow, JoePa talked the likes of Paul Jones (rated as the 3rd best QB in the nation and is a 5-star from McKees Rocks, PA) and Robert Bolden (rated as the 8th best QB in the nation and is a 4-star from Orchard Lake, MI) to coming to Happy Valley.  And is not like these kids are coming in with no other young and highly rated QB's on the depth chart, Penn State just landed the 10th best QB from last years class, Kevin Newsome (4-star recruit from Portsmouth, VA).

I sure hope JayPa, Penn State QB's coach, does not waste the talent he now has at his disposal.  He has three exceptional QB's with tons of upside, and are ripe for development.  I will be very interested in seeing what comes of this deep QB talent pool.

Overall, Penn State signed an exceptional class, ranked unanimously in the Top 10 by all the recruiting services (also higher than any other class in the Big Ten).  The last time Penn State signed a class ranked this high was in 2006 and in the four years which followed that class Penn State won two Conference Championships, went 40-8 and played in three January 1^st bowl games.
